Housesitting for Buddhists
By Amy Souza

Inspiration piece

Outside, two spiders spin webs on
either end of the porch
We greet as I sweep
fallen leaves

Sun peeks through
clouds like a whisper
The spiders spin
I sweep

Overnight, wind will
destroy our work
and we
will begin again

Thanks! I used, indeed, a bunch of lavender dipped in india ink on a windy day to brush the page (working out of doors). Then I hand colored the inked markings with oil pastels. Not such a great photograph, so thanks for your kind words.
