Sunlight piercing through closed,
unshaded eyes
Quasi-sleep at the edge of the sea
Opening eyes reveal
azure blues and dancing greens
Salty sweat on skin, lips and hair
Exotic flavors on tongue
Altered reality;
a most precious dream
Lurched awake
Real life resumes
Do not let the dream slip away
Dare to infuse the dream
into the routine
