Elizabeth Wexler and Bonnie Lebesch

Bonnie Lebesch

Acrylic

Inspiration piece

………….

Heartspace

Elizabeth Wexler

response piece

……….

Her heart seemed to have a whole landscape

It was as if she could feel the different parts

Having different reactions

To watching him walk towards her

……….

Sometimes it happened

Even when she couldn’t see him

Even when he entered her view unexpectedly

(whether intentionally or not)

It was is if her heart could sense his presence

(Pounding like a metronome

The beat reverberating)

Without her eyes needing to see his face

……………..

A symphony of feelings

The beat changing, the colors spinning

Sometimes, louder than others

But ever-present under her radar

………………

Her eyes took him in

But her heart felt the warmth

The warmth that seemed to only exist between them

She thought it must be there for others

Or perhaps she thought she should think that, and

Secretly (she could hardly admit it to herself)

She thought it theirs

And theirs alone.
