Mindscape
By Kathleen Finn Jordan

Response

mind inclined and moods set free
in colors and tints of flesh and blue
concealed in a canopy of flowing, swirling in the air hair
under which rolling thru the moods and shades
the red patches of anger the sea peace of aqua
the angles and curves of perception’s nooks and crannies, images and impressions
the eyes mirror as the head receives, feelings translate into pain, joy
love war
like unlike
power and vulnerability
shock and awe adrift in a sea of blueness the oneness of the dream
tones the ups and downs on the slide of experience
flowers and tears rain from the eyes
abstract and concrete, the head translates the small happenings of the day and stores and retrieves them as needed
glistening stained glass pieces of puzzles encountered and soon solved
the values and musts ride as fixed edges drawn stronglined and structured
foundation in the sea of daydreams and nightmares and confusions that litter the periphery
landscape of a person driven by mind, recognizable by face, evolving and becoming whole but
often confounded by the parts.

Amazing what you captured. I am overwhelmed at how you read a visual piece so well. It’s like you where there while I finished painting it!

I loved this painting. I was afraid my response might be too abstract. This is what the painting said to me and I am so happy that you feel this way. What a great Spark. kj

Vibrant and confident; colourful and constructive. Both pieces, that is.
